Great Place, Pleasantly Surprised

Would not expect to find a very good Vietnamese Restaurant in this area, but wow was I surprised. Walking in, was not sure what to expect. Very casual, lots of people picking up for takeout (good sign) but not too many people sitting down (it was a wednesday). The food was very top quality, tasty, fresh and filling. So nice to have a break from the typical burger, pizza or taco/buritto joints in plenty. Had the #19 chicken dish with rice noodles and loved it. Chicken was perfectly cooked, and I loved all the seasonings. Having cut up perfectly cooked spring rolls in small pieces adding to the taste, was very different/original, and really added to the taste. Most places would have just put the spring roll on the side, but this is much better. Great twist. Left feeling very satisfied. Truly an enjoyable meal. Very highly recommend!!

I’m writing this review only because I want this AUTHENTIC Vietnamese cuisine to thrive. The food is great, and I am an experienced in-Vietnam pho consumer of many years. The service is fine, and you will usually get seated a lot quicker than the long line of customers at Pho Hong– which is also an excellent place otherwise. Pho Dang’s ambience is less intimate than the previous small place down the street, but if you want for authentic, the relatively spare decor will comfort any who have been to that Country. The less-than-4-star reviewers are fuss-pots, and don’t know what they are talking about. One of them complained that their food was cold when they did take-out. Hey, go home and warm it up!

We went to this restaurant, which does not take reservations, with a party of 11. A birthday group. The food arrived for all of us at the same time. It was excellent with fresh ingredients and reasonably priced – about $23 apiece with gratuity. I would recommend and definitely go back.

I just read a review where someone was complaining about cold takeout and increased pricing. Whaa mamma whaa! Did it ever occur to the reviewer that just maybe the food was sitting on the counter for ten minutes before the picked it up and drove another ten minutes to get home? Also, have you noticed prices are up everywhere, especially food prices.
I eat at Pho Dang regularly and yes when I take out it’s not quite as good as eating on their outside dining area.
Overall, I will say that I am very much satisfied with the service and the quality of the food, especially considering the price point. My wife and I offer two bedrooms on Airbnb and we almost always recommend Pho Dang and always get positive feedback from people we send there.
I’m glad that a year and a half of Covid did not crush this family business and it’s hard to hear someone whine about increased prices after what they have endured.
Please, get a life. Maybe stick a couple bucks in the tip jar rather than cry about it.
